Today I received my first doTERRA Essential Oils Kit. I am totally excited about it! I even cleared out a special little space on my kitchen bench top to showcase them all.
I have always loved Essential Oils. As a young teenager I was obsessed with all things natural and holistic. My parents where pretty new age in their ways when it came to their approach to sickness and illness. They always had me at Naturopaths and Homeopaths instead of doctors offices. I just grew up knowing that a holistic way of life was a better way. Mum and dad had copious amounts of books and literature on natural wellness and healthy holistic approaches. I still have those books today. I love them!
So everything that I’m doing now is just an extension of what I have already inbuilt into me. Not unlike many people, I went off my track for years and that in itself sent me down a path that was more plagued by sickness and just general unease. I tried to get back into the natural wellness in random unfocused spurts, so it didn’t last. I started doing Reiki, seeing a medicine woman who taught me the art of Colour Therapy and Crystal Healing. I started reading books about tapping into your intuition, to learn and speak to your guides, I learnt to align my chakras, I started to learn meditation and I dabbled in many New Age things for a few years there, but it was sporadic and I didn’t fully commit so I never followed it all through. I learnt massive amounts in that time and it was healing in its own way but I didn’t adapt it enough into my life to fully put it into practice.
So now, I’m a new mumma and I had to re-evaluate my health and my purpose when I decided that I wanted a baby. So my path of Wellness really started again in the beginning of 2014. That’s when I can pin point that my life journey changed. I decided to put it on a new path, and in the process I have slowly become more open to all the new and beautiful opportunities that are coming into my life. So doTERRA is one of those. I can’t wait to see where it takes me. It is exciting and fresh and yet somewhat it feels like home because its what I grew up with… all things natural.
Funny thing is that I actually have no sense of smell. Well, I tell a lie… on the odd occasion I can smell probably about 10% of what the average person can smell. So it will be interesting to see how this journey works for me. Sometimes when something feels like the right fit though, things like that don’t matter. Like being blind does not stop some people from playing the piano or painting a beautiful work of art. Some things are just meant to be. This feels like one of those things. I’m saying “YES” to the things that feel right from now on.
If you feel the same way, contact me. I’d love to talk to you. We can link arms. Peace. xxx
