I love making natural alternatives to all the shitty toxic crap we tend to pick up at the supermarkets.
Today I made my favourite MAGNESIUM BATH SALTS for my little boy.
I’ll show you what I did. Its EASY AS PIE!
- Buy some Magnesium salts from the health food store. I choose Mrs Flannerys as my favourite.
- Find a big glass container or jar. I’m using an old Moccona Jar.
- Grab your favourite (child suitable) Essential Oils. I only use dōTERRA.Today I have used Lavender, Cedarwood and Roman Chamomile.
Now… simply pour your salts into the glass jar or container. Drop in 20 drops of each oil you have chosen and the stir it up with a big spoon!
You are literally done! Now every time you run the bath for you child, you let them put one big scoop in (letting them participate and put in their own salts is super fun for them!) and you run the bath as usual! How easy is that!
Magnesium is something that all of us, from babies to adults need in our bodies, and in abundant amounts. Amazingly enough most of us are deficient, due to our nutrient lacking diets these days. Magnesium helps stress relief, muscle aches, insulin sensitivity, circulation, nutrition absorption, headaches, wound healing, helps with sleep, skin problems and hydration. It really helps with most bodily functions.
Bath salts and Transdermal application of magnesium in an oil or cream is the most efficient way to absorb it since it isn’t so readily absorbed through the gut, our biggest organ is our skin so it just makes sense!
Your kids won’t know the science behind it but will think its cool. Its a great practice to get into.
